Welcome to the Northwood Volunteer Band Website

PJHQ Crest

The Northwood Volunteer Band is an amateur concert wind band consisting of players from both military and civilian spheres of life, and of all ages and abilities. The band performs a great many engagements throughout the year, both locally and further a field. Rehearsals take place on a Monday and Wednesday evening from 8pm and are free to anyone who is interested in joining us. A variety of instruments can also be provided again free of charge.

The band is run by a full time Royal Marines Musician and is supported by Royal Marines Band Service Headquarters.

Congratulations Dave and Lisa, and Sally

There's something in the air or water at Northwood Volunteer Band at the moment with two new arrivals within days of each other.

Congratulations go to Sally Marshall on the birth of Edward and to Dave Matthews and Lisa on the birth of their third daughter Katie.

Northwood Head Quarters Band is currently looking for new players of all standards to join us. The Band rehearses on a Monday and Wednesday and performs in and around the Northwood area. If you play an instrument we would love to here from you, especially if  you are a Brass player. If you played at school or you play just for fun please get in touch via this web site or call the Bandmaster on 01293-833190 for more information. We welcome all standards and try to make music fun and enjoyable.
 
RN Fleet Air Arm Joint Concert

Once again Northwood Volunteer Band will be travelling down to the West Country to perform at The Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Museum Yeovilton. The concert will take place on Thursday the 13th of December 2007 and there are a few remaining tickets to see Northwood Head Quarters and HMS Heron Volunteer bands perform under the super setting Concorde!
